The company started out as a humble hardware retailer in 1982 at Taman Maluri, Cheras. Starting off with fittings, the company’s catalog expanded to pipes and other related industrial structural steel imported from Asian countries and Europe countries.
In 1994, the company expanded operations by opening a sister company, Wei Li Steel Sdn Bhd, to distribute stainless steel products. In 1986, Wan Hong Hardware relocated to Jalan Chan Sow Lin where it grew in size, comprising four warehouses today.
Alongside the rapidly rising developments in Malaysia, Wan Hong Hardware became a multi-million dollar integrated wholesale and distribution network.
